W. Dallas Dixon
Board Member
W. Dallas Dixon brings more than 40 years of leadership, financial management, and nonprofit service to the Scottsdale Railroad & Mechanical Society. Throughout his career, he has held positions of significant trust, developing extensive experience in organizational leadership, fiduciary responsibility, and strategic planning.
A lifelong railroad enthusiast, Dallas has been actively involved with several respected railroad organizations. He is a Life Member of the Paradise & Pacific Railroad, where he served as Chairman of the Layout Planning Committee before leading the organization as President during the construction of its public display layout. He is also a founding member and first President of the San Diego 3-Railers, helping establish one of the premier public model railroad exhibits at the San Diego Model Railroad Museum.
Professionally, Dallas served as Chief Financial Officer for Marlin Group Inc., overseeing the financial operations of multiple privately held companies spanning agriculture, real estate development, retail, and related industries. His background includes financial oversight, construction management, and complex business negotiations.
He has also contributed his time and expertise to organizations including the Desert Division Train Collectors Association, Grand Canyon Model Railroaders, and the Gadsden-Pacific Division Toy Train Operating Museum. Dallas continues to support the Society's mission by helping preserve railroad history and strengthen the organization's impact for future generations.
